Here's the part that shocked me the most: Shortly after WW2, Germany passed laws that effectively reimposed the Third Reich's racial and political qualifications for employment in the German civil service and gave preference to former Nazis, with the result that the Nazi administration was essentially restored. Nazi judges, including genuine war criminals responsible for part of the Holocaust, were re-employed in appeals courts to review and reaffirm their own and their colleagues' criminal decisions. In the aftermath of World War I, German reactionaries had learned that anti-communism could be used to achieve strategic leverage over Germany’s prospective enemies such as Great Britain and the United States. The Third Reich utilized this stratagem to establish Fifth Column movements in countries they had targeted for conquest. Those movements were composed largely of sympathizers who viewed the Third Reich as a bulwark against communism. The Third Reich sought to escape the full consequences of military defeat in World War II by playing the anti-communist card again. The Fifth Column is real, still active and dominant in the United States, having come to power in the JFK assassination, since which no President has successfully opposed the military-industrial complex...yet. |

The primary reason for the rapid capitulation of the French to the German invaders was the fact that the French power elite—who had strong business and political affiliations with their German counterparts—welcomed the German invasion as a vehicle for eliminating French democracy and instituting fascism in France. The French power elite benefited from their participation in the Third Reich’s wartime economy. It is Mr. Emory’s contention that the GOP power elite—with strong economic and political affiliations with the Underground Reich and the Saudi and Muslim Brotherhood Islamic fascists behind the 9/11 attacks—helped facilitate the attacks for similar purposes. |

When he passed away at the age of 104 on July 2, 1995, Seldes left behind a legacy of hard-hitting, fearless, relevant, informed and informing writing. His work paved the way for investigative reporters and political scientists investigating the corporate machinations underlying both American and international political, economic and cultural life. One of the earliest and most visible critics of Mussolini’s fascist state in Italy, Seldes risked his life in a confrontation with Il Duce in which he exposed, among other things, the profound American corporate and journalistic support for Mussolini’s “corporate state.” Those political and economic interests were instrumental in attempts to suppress Army Fact Sheet Number 64. This fact sheet informed frontline U.S. troops on how to recognize fascists (including those powerful, pro-fascist elements in the United States that had collaborated with Hitler and Mussolini.) Seldes was one of the few journalists to cover the story of the active attempts to block both distribution and journalistic coverage of the Fact Sheet. This segment sets forth Seldes’ account of those attempts. The program also documents an attempt to court-martial Major General Smedley Butler for allegedly slandering Mussolini. Butler had foiled attempts by powerful American corporate fascists to overthrow Franklin Delano Roosevelt in a fascist coup in 1934. The excerpt was read, coincidentally, on the day that Seldes passed away. The following evening (7/3/95), Mr. Seldes’ obituary was read into the record at the conclusion of Mr. Emory’s broadcast on another station. (See also: FTR #’s 29, 37, 38, 99, 102.) The first program focuses on lowering American educational standards and the deliberate obfuscation of the historical connection between powerful industrial and financial interests and the genesis and propogation of fascism. These factors significantly undermined contemporary understanding of the political forces which produced Hitler and Mussolini. The series details important episodes in the development of French fascist forces culminating in the Vichy collaborationist government of Marshal Petain. The role of French fascists in undermining France and contributing to the German victory of 1940 is one of the many aspects of the history of fascism which has been deliberately obscured. Finally, this series highlights the clandestine methodology of fascism, particularly the underground organizational structure of fascist movements and its effectiveness in subverting established democracies. Discussion centers on the underground Nazi cells of contemporary Germany and their evolution from the cellular organization established by the Third Reich prior to its defeat. The program also sets forth the role of the Swedish fascist Per Engdahl, and his role in maintaining the continuity of fascism from Hitler and Mussolini to the present. The re-emergence of fascism in Austria and the Czech Republic is discussed, as is international networking between neo-Nazis. The series also contains discussion of collaboration between neo-Nazis and national intelligence services, and connections between neo-Nazis and “respectable” power politicians, plus analysis of the Liberty Lobby, an influential American fascist organization. |

But this is nonetheless a valuable expose of the fascist motives behind, support for, and role in formulating gun control laws.] The lecture concludes with rumination on the possibility that some of the massacres may be intended to help precipitate a fascist polarization of society. Since firearms are an intrinsic part of life in many parts of this country, outlawing them will have an alienating and polarizing effect on much of the population in those areas, driving them in the direction of fascism and blind reaction. L-1 : The Political Implications of the UFO Phenomenon & the “ET” Myth |
A 1997 Gallup poll revealed that 42% of college graduates in the United States believed that the earth had been visited by extraterrestrials. This astounding statistic underscores the political importance of the UFO phenomenon, a subject generally regarded as the province of either fiction or psychopathology. This lecture addresses some of the salient political aspects of the subject. The concept of salvation from above by a superior power or entity is a powerful element of the mythology, folklore and belief systems of many cultures and religions. It is also a notion that can have particularly strong appeal in a time of dire social and political crisis. It is significant in this context that the ET myth originates to a considerable extent from elements associated with the intelligence community and a milieu that includes prominent American fascists such as William Dudley Pelley. The human propensity to believe in UFOs as indicating the presence of ETs takes on an added significance when considered in light of the considerable evidence indicating that the “flying saucers” of popular imagination are real, but have a terrestrial origin. Mr. Emory presents evidence that the machines have their genesis in the closing phase of the Second World War, when the Germans developed disk-shaped, high-performance flying machines as anti-aircraft devices. The devices appear to have been improved upon by the United States and Britain in the post-war period. In 1955, the Secretary of the Air Force announced that the United States would soon begin testing and flying new types of aircraft that would resemble flying saucers. |

FTR #548 : Tibet or Not Tibet |

Idealized as the ultimate manifestation of Buddhist wisdom on earth, the pre-invasion Tibet was anything but the earthly paradise the Dalai Lama and his associates claim that it was. In point of fact, Tibet was a brutal, theocratic feudal society, presided over by the Dalai Lama and other Tibetan Buddhist prelates. Much of the population were serfs—actually little more than slaves. They had no rights to speak of, and were bound to the land owned by the religious leaders. Even the smallest of offenses was punished with extreme brutality—grisly torture was routine. “Drepung monastery was one of the biggest landowners in the world, with its 185 manors, 25,000 serfs, 300 great pastures, and 16,000 herdsmen. The wealth of the monasteries went mostly to the higher-ranking lamas, many of them scions of aristocratic families. Secular leaders also did well. A notable example was the commander-in-chief of the Tibetan army, who owned 4,000 square kilometers of land and 3,500 serfs. He also was a member of the Dalai Lama’s lay Cabinet. Old Tibet has been misrepresented by some of its Western admirers as ‘a nation that required no police force because its people voluntarily observed the laws of karma.’ In fact. it had a professional army, albeit a small one, that served as a gendarmerie for the landlords to keep order and hunt down runaway serfs.” “The sexual practices of Buddhist Tantrism are not to be confused with normal sexual abuse by some Lamas. The latter also has been a great problem in the Buddhist communities, which were rocked by scandals caused by such prominent leaders as Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, founder of Colorado’s Naropa University, who was accused of having sex with his women students. In 1993, 21 Western Buddhist teachers met the Dalai Lama in India and issued an open letter that lamented various teachers’ ‘sexual misconduct with their students, abuse of alcohol and drugs, misappropriation of funds and misuse of power.’” The Dalai Lama’s milieu is part of a larger Underground Reich virtual state. It is also important to bear in mind that the milieu of which the Dalai Lama is a part appears to focus on Central Asia—that part of the “Earth Island” seen by geopoliticians as key to controlling that land mass and, as a consequence, the world. |
